Located
within steps of our resort are over 30 restaurants, including Sabor Restaurant
and Bar and the Ferry House Restaurant, bars, shops, nightly live
entertainment, the Dolphin Experience, scuba diving, snorkeling and deep-sea
fishing. Immediately across the street are two miles of Grand Bahama's white
sand beach, a full service spa, all four "Grand Slam" surface tennis courts and
a casino.
Two 18-hole
championship golf courses and The Jim McLean School of Golf are five minutes
away. And, within a very short distance are miles of pristine powdery white
sands beaches and soft adventure excursions to explore.
In addition,
a number of Grand Bahama Island excursions are easily arranged through our
concierge. Amongst these are the Dolphin Experience, scuba diving, snorkeling,
deep-sea fishing, bone fishing, sailing, kayaking and soft

Beaches
The beaches of Grand Bahama are
renowned for their soft white sand and crystal clear waters. Guests may contact
our front desk to arrange for a day trip with a box lunch and transportation to
one of the more secluded beaches. |

Boating
Grand Bahama Island is a mecca for
boaters. With shallow, clear waters, abundant game fish and excellent weather
throughout the year, boating is considered world class. Boaters must clear
Bahamas Customs and Immigration at the first Port of Entry. A Bahamas Cruising
Permit allows unlimited access to over 600 uninhabited islands and cays.
Lucayan Marina Village, Grand Bahama's finest marina, plays host to boats from
30 to 150 feet. |

Scuba Diving / Snorkeling
Scuba diving and
snorkeling are some of the most popular activities, and The Bahamas boasts 29
dive destinations, 700 islands and over 1000 regularly dived sites. The Unexso dive shop is
located within steps of our lobby. |

dolphins to kayaking through the mangroves to beach combing a deserted beach,

Golf
Known as a Golfer's Paradise, Grand Bahama
Island offers incredible championship courses, an idyllic climate, and lush
greens and fairways fed by freshwater lakes. The island boasts four of the most
beautiful championship golf courses in the Caribbean. |

Swimming
Three outdoor swimming pools are
located at the hotel. One additional pool is located at Lucayan Marina Village.
One pool and hot tub are located at Sabor Bar and Grill. The other two pools
are located at the bay view building and suites. Hours of Operation: 6
a.m.-10:00 p.m. |

Shopping
Perfumes and fragrances, crystal,
leather goods, jewelry, fine linens and tablecloths, watches and clocks,
photographic equipment, china, binoculars, and telescopes are all duty free.
Savings on these items are between 25% - 50% below US prices. The best shopping
is at the Port Lucaya Marketplace and the International Bazaar; boutiques and
gift shops are also found in the downtown area and at most major resorts.
Everything from duty-free products to local arts and crafts, wood, straw, shell
and clothing creations are readily available. A wide variety of produce and
grocery items can be found at local Food Stores throughout the island. There
are a number of American-style supermarkets on the island. |

Horseback Riding
Riding on one of Grand Bahama
Island's great beaches is a very special equestrian experience, be it early
morning or a romantic sunset ride. Arrangements are easily made for individual,
couple & small groups with area stables for riders of all experience
levels, including first time riders. |

Caving
Don't miss the 40-acre Lucayan National
Park, famous for its limestone caves you can easily explore on foot, and even
dive when arranged through our good neighbor, Unexso. The caves comprise one of
the longest underwater cave systems in the world, which is also among the most
environmentally distinct, filled with bats as well as fish. The vast tunnel
system, connecting the caves, are accessible by both land and
sea. |

Scootering
Renting a motor scooter is as easy
as strolling to the Port Lucaya Marketplace next door. Scooters gives you and a
passenger the freedom and fun to buzz around Grand Bahama. Remember, when you
take to the road on our island, British rules apply, so please keep to the
left. |

Kayaking
Kayaking is easy and fun, and Grand
Bahama Island's beautiful mangrove waterways and saltwater flats are a
fantastic a place to learn. Independent and guided tours offer numerous
birding, fishing and wild orchid searching opportunities within our unique
Grand Bahama Island ecosystem. |
