The lovely island of Whipray is totally surrounded by a living coral
reef and coral heads that begin at the shore of the island and
develop into the fringing reefs along the outer perimeter.

All are accessible for snorkeling with mask and fins. And within 16
miles of Whipray Caye is some of Belize’s premier Whale Shark
watching – a truly tropical paradise!

All of the tropical fish, corals, sea fans and sea stars native to
the Western Caribbean are alive and well here. Water visibility is
easily up to 75’ with over 200’ visibility at the Barrier Reef.
SCUBA is possible right from the caye, normally arranged through the
local dive shops in "Barefoot Perfect" Placencia.

If you are very lucky while snorkeling, you may just get the
opportunity to drop into a school of dolphins for the ultimate
experience of listening to and observing these beautiful animals in
their natural environment.'
