The Fishing Season
The fishing in Belize excellent year round but use the chart below if you have your heart set on a certain species. Keeping mind the weather can be a disaster in August because of Hurricanes but the truth is you only get those once every 20 years or so!. It is a little more windy in January/ February and gradually calms through spring and then gradually picks up through the Fall. There is almost always some wind but we have so many flats we can always find some that are out of the wind.
They get more rainfall in the summer but mostly it is fast heavy squalls with 95% of each day rain free! It tends to be calm in the summer as well. A grand slam is likely throughout the year with the best months falling around the best permit and tarpon months as these are the toughest to catch!
