The fishing in Xcalak is available year round but the weather can be a disaster in August because of Hurricanes. It is a little more windy in February and gradually calms through spring and then gradually picks up through the Fall. There is almost always some wind but we have so many flats we can always find some that are out of the wind. A grand slam is likely throughout the year with the best months falling around the best permit months as these are the toughest to catch!
