- Spey rod (7 – 9 weight) (optional) If you’re an enthusiast, please bring a two handed
rod along. However, please recognize that opportunities to use them are limited.
7' Tapered leader for Taimen. Think very large salmon. 15 pound test
Casting larger streamers and mouse-type patterns.
7' Tapered leader for trout. Think big rainbow or brown in very clear water. 12 pound 1X, 0X
Casting small mouse, hoppers, stimulators, and streamers.

Flies: We provide all flies - but bring your own favorites almost everything works. Taimen feed on rodents,
birds, and other fish. They hit splashy surface flies and fish imitating wet flies. Trout
and grayling focus on “generals” – dark hoppers, adams, stimulators, egg sucking
leeches, etc.
