From our private semi permanent ger (yurt) camps located in the Mongolian wilderness, we offer discerning clients access to more than one hundred and fifty miles of blue ribbon fly-fishing water. We have run extraordinary Mongolia adventures since 1993 and fly-fishing adventures since 1999.
MRC trips are fly-fishing only. We follow a strict catch and release policy and use Aire Rafts with full house casting frames. The fishing is a combination of drift and wade. Our international fly-fishing guides are some of the best professionals in the business.
Mongolia River Camps is a recognized conservation leader and in 2007 we launched an exciting new Taimen research and conservation program in partnership with WWF and the University of Nevada-Reno. We operate only during late August and September, when fly-fishing in Mongolia is guaranteed to be at its best. Our trips include six days on the river and two evenings in Ulan Bator. We have a departure limit of six anglers.
We're a "fly-in/fly-out" and "no shuttle" operation. We don't spend time driving up and down the creek. Every day you fish a new stretch of river while your bags are shuttled overland. Every evening you stay in one of six pre-established and very comfortable streamside ger camps, complete with attentive staff, great food, hot showers, linens, and cozy wood burning stoves.
