Ed Blank's Adventures Main Page The Lodge
For a maximum of six guests, Korimako offers an intimate and casually luxurious atmosphere in which to enjoy New Zealand's natural beauty and superb food and wine. We offer appealing, contemporary cooking - a style that complements a meal with guests and friends, and a good bottle of wine. It doesn't lend itself to any particular label, just quality and flavor without fuss, using the freshest local produce, organic where possible. We make pretty much everything ourselves and try to use as many quality local suppliers as possible. Special requests, including vegetarian, are easy to accommodate. All the rooms at Korimako are uncluttered and spacious. The use of color and choice of furniture complement the fabulous views from all rooms - casually elegant and relaxing.
Facilities provided include: * Stylish guest rooms with spacious en suites with powerful showers, and private verandahs with very special views. Choose from Super King, Queen or Twin.
Your hosts, Steve and Wendy, built Korimako in 2001. Designed by a local architect to sit comfortably in its naturally beautiful surroundings, the lodge is built predominately of timber and is sited for the natural warmth and light of the sun, and its energy efficient design includes solar hot water heating. We take special care of our unique environment and are committed to good environmental practices. To maximize the comfort of our guests, no smoking is permitted inside the building or on the verandahs. Korimako is not suitable for children under 14 years unless a single party books the whole lodge (in which case the minimum age is 5 years).
