We provide this information as a research tool for our clients, to help get a feel for what a particular guide is like. We can give you our input as well. You are free to book directly with the guide or through us, the price will be the same either way,  but we only get a small commission from the guide when you book through us.  So this is the honor system I guess. Brent Beadle
Brent Beadle is based at Moana on the shores of beautiful Lake Brunner where the trout die of old age and has been guiding around the Lake Brunner area for 15 years. All his boats have a current survey and Brent has Department of Conservation' permits to fish the area. Brent often drifts the lake edge sight casting to prime fish as well as helifishing trips, a great way to fish the head waters of the regions rivers and overnight stays in wilderness river valleys with excellent accommodation available if required. Brent also offers good self contained accommodation at Lake View Cottage which has spectacular views overlooking the lake and the mountains

Brian Hoy
Brian Hoy fishing guideBrian Hoy is a veteran Greymouth South Island based brown trout fly fishing guide fishing rivers, streams, spring creeks also lake sight fishing by boat. Brian has fishing to suit most anglers from the beginner to the more experienced. Rods are available. Flies, leaders and tippets are provided and fitted however clients are welcome to use their own. David Heine fishing guideDave Heine has been a fishing guide based in Greymouth on the West Coast of the South Island for more than twenty years. He specialises in sight fishing for brown trout, plus float fishing for resident and sea-run browns. He will supply most equipment and flies, and welcomes everyone from beginners to experts. Felix Borenstein

Gavin operates 'Brown Trout Euphoria', born and based in Hokitika he covers from Karamea to Haast and has 30 years experience on local waters and has fished most of the South Islands major rivers he has also been involved in the retail and wholesale sporting goods industry for several years. Specializing in sight fishing for brown trout avg 3-4lbs with fish up to 7lbs in local spring creeks of which there are more than 20 to chose from within an hours drive also plenty of local Wilderness Rivers. Gavin offers sight fishing to cruising lake edge brown trout form his 16 ft 3 person cateraft also offering float trips on some of the bigger local waters in late summer Several types of accommodation packages are available from luxury home stay/lodge to self catered options and campouts.

John Glendall
John Gendall owns and operates John Gendall Flyfishing and has guided New Zealand Browns for thirteen years. John travels to guide in the NZ off season, he's spent four years on the Ponoi in Russia and currently guides for Westbank Anglers in Jackson Hole, USA. John runs a small lodge in Nelson Lakes National Park, a truly spectaular area with three very accessible catchments providing quality fishing in all conditions. Specialising in "stalking Browns" , John will assist you in site casting to wild fish four pounds and up using drys and nymphs. As well as daily drive & fly outs, overnight heli and 4x4 wilderness adventures can be arranged. John offers superb accommodation in a rustic yet very comfortable cottage which is nessled beside the stream that runs through the property. Accommodation can be self contianed or fully catered for depending on needs. Accommodation arrangements can be made for up to six.

Lindsay White
Lindsay White  fishing guideLindsay has been a full time professional trout fishing guide since 1985, he is situated near Murchison in the northern third of New Zealand's South Island, 120 kilometres south west of the city of Nelson. Lindsay specialises in guiding clients onto large sighted brown Trout either trophy size or fish in the 3lb to 6lb range which habitat most of our rivers. In this region it is possible to access 30 different rivers or streams by vehicle and a further 21 by helicopter.

 

 

Peter Warren
Peter has been a guide in the Nelson region for over ten years. Fishing the Buller, Wairau and Motueka Rivers and all their tributaries, he has over 25 rivers within an hours drive and many more wilderness rivers to fly and tramp into. Dry fly and nymph fishing to large brown trout in gin clear water makes spotting and stalking these fish essential. Peter can supply all fishing gear, catering to all levels of fishing ability. Tony has been a fishing guide for 25yrs. Based from Hokitika which is in the centre of the South Island , West Coast. He has his own boutique fishing lodge  Kawhaka Lodge , just 15 minutes drive from Hokitika. He is surrounded by over 30 rivers, streams and lakes and most are within 1.5hrs Tony has adopted a "catch & release" policy to ensure the future of these fisheries. He has fished all over the world visiting some of the most challenging fishing destinations. This has given him an appreciation for the unique experience he has to offer when taking people fishing from the lodge at Kawhaka.
